The Double Irish Chain.  This quilt was completed during our Thursday Project Night by Joanie Hogan.  She put a lot of time into the piecing and created a great border using extra blocks.  This was a very nice quilt to work on, and Joanie is one of my favorite customers!
For the border, I used a combination of piano border, and leaves and loops.  For the rust-colored  double chain, I used a diagnal line from corner to corner through each square.

Inside each light blue diamond shape, I found a pattern that works perfectly.  It is a diamond outline with small meandering on the inside of the diamond.  It is very difficult to see the stitching from the front side of the quilt, so here is the view from the backside of the quilt.
