A Quilt for my New Grandaughter born Oct. 2nd, 2012
Sister's Room
This is a 5 yard quilt, and my daughter-in-law picked out the fabric.  She went with Black & White, with pops of red and "tiffany" blue.  These are the colors of the nursery, and they make a great quilt pattern too.  I called this quilt "Sister's Room", because she has two older brothers.

Here is the finished top.

I put it on the Long Arm Machine

and chose to quilt only in the black & white blocks, making the blue "pop"

for the inside red border, I used a small butterfly and loop pattern, and for the outside grey border, I made a three petal flower,  It really complemented the fabric pattern.
I know my daughter-in-law was very pleased with the end product, and she really enjoyed selecting the fabrics.  How nice to welcome baby Channing Mary Strub into the world!
