This quilt was also pieced together on a Thursday Project Night by Cassy Nelson.  This was quite a challenge since she had all these beautiful pre-assembled blocks and fabrics put away for several years, but didn't know what the pattern was for piecing.  She brought out all the blocks and fabrics, and together we came up with a plan for piecing.  I think she is very pleased with how it turned out, and plans to give this quilt to her mother.  How special!  We called this quilt Cassy's Garden.

A forest green thread was used for quilting.  In the large white border, leaves and loops were used to fill in the white space.  The contrasting green thread worked out great for the space.

For each of the Garden Squares, a large rose was quilted with a 3-leaf clump in each of the corners.  For the narrow border, I used a vine pattern.  Above is a view from the front side, and below is a view from the back side.

It was very exciting to use a variety of quilt patterns in this project, and below, you can see just how excited Cassy was to finally get her quilt finished on the Long Arm machine!
