This is a quilt I made for my husband's birthday.  From Wisconsin, he is a big Packer fan, and I wanted to represent the 4 Super Bowl wins for the Green Bay Packers, in a quilt.   The pattern is called the Swing Pattern, and I was able to use fabrics that complement the Packers Green and Gold color scheme.
I was able to personalize this quilt with the final score of the most recent Super Bowl win!
In the dark green rectangles, I made a proto-type of the NFL football logo.  This quilting took a lot of practice, but once I got it down, it was pretty smooth.

In each of the 4 corners, I quilted the trophy representative of the Green Bay Packer's Super Bowl wins.  This took even more practice!  For the 2 inch inside border, I used a football-type pattern, and on the outside border, I used the piano border, which is becoming one of my favorites.

This quilt was made using 13 fat quarters.  We have kits available to make this quilt.  It is a very simple pattern, and goes together quite quickly.  It is a very good choice for beginners.
For the black border, I chose a leaf and loop pattern.
And for the inside, I chose a primitive box/curl pattern which I found in a book called Mindful Meandering.  It was very fun to do, and I think it went very well with the colors of this quilt.
