This is a quilt I made for a friend of mine who has a place in Hayward, Wisconsin.  I call it my Northwoods quilt.  I wanted to incorporate animal prints into this quilt, so I chose a pattern that used a 7 inch block.
This friend invited my whole family up to their place.  Now that included 8 people from my family, and I thought the least I could do was make a nice lap size quilt for their place in the Northwoods.
For the design on this quilt, I chose a piano border.  I learned this technique from the class offered with the purchase of our Long Arm machine. I was glad to put it to use, and am very pleased with the outcome.  I choose this border on several different quilts.  It works very nice on any size border.
For the inside of this quilt, I chose to do a leaf pattern in each of the blocks.  It goes along with the theme of the entire quilt.
