It was so much fun piecing this quilt together. It was the start of our "Project Night", where family and friends gather to work on projects. We have since started our own "I SPY" collection with the intention to offer classes for the "I SPY" Quilt.

This is a very fun quilt! It is called the "I SPY" quilt. I finished this for my son's family Christmas present. We got the idea and instructions from a freind we met on the way to the National Quilt Expo in Chicago. She gave us the pattern, and several novelty fabrics to use in the construction of this quilt. It consists of 72 - 4 3/4 inch novelty fabrics. I chose a fun white with black print fabric for the cornerstones and inner border, and a black fabric for the sashing and large border.

My sister and I took a class from a local quilt store to learn how to piece this Muckled Quilt using a 9 patch pattern. Our quilts turned out very differently because of the color selection. I will post my sister's Muckled Quilt, once she gets it gets finished on the Long Arm machine. I had this top completed for about 6 years, and it was one of the first quilts done using our Long Arm machine.
I chose a large meandering pattern for the main quilt, and used loops for the borders. I was very pleased with how this quilt turned out, and it was so nice to finally have it completed and on the bed in our guest room.
